The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels is a purpose built Los Angeles Archdiocese $189.5 million dollar Cathedral in the centre of Los Angeles. The campus covers an impressive 64,000 square feet and is designed to accommodate 3000 people.
The reverberation caused by building materials provided many acoustical challenges. The installed Assistive Listening System provides the solution in the form of the LT-800 Stationary FM Transmitter sending audio to the LR-500 Display receivers have allowed those attending the Cathedral to enjoy quality audio during their service.
The 57 channels and programmable receivers provide easy channel assignments in an array of languages and as the receivers can be programmed onsite the guests can easily select the correct channel on the display of the LR-500 receiver itself.
As the cathedral is in itself a tourist attraction the LT-700 Portable Transmitter is used with individual receivers to guide tour groups around the facility. This allows for the tours to be done in an efficient manner whilst providing a multitude of different languages.
